I have to buy an engine since the taxes are very high on bigger engines (about 700Euro / year for a engine). I would get it as manual, because I enjoy it more. This has to be the main family in my car, since my parents own a Skoda Fabia, and that car sucks for long budget would be right around 5000 Euro and there are plenty of cars in my area sold for a lot less. I've calculated the expenses and maintenance for both and I can afford them easily. I could push over this budget, but the A4 B8 is just a disaster with that oil consumption, so I'd just settle for this you know, the A6 is far superior in any sense, it's bigger, it has newer technology and it's a better car overall, but it only comes as an FWD. I can buy an A6 newer since it never came with the faulty EA888 engines. The area where I live is lacking snow, but it has plenty of mud. This is where my problem comes, the A4 has the quattro option, whereas the A6 doesn' the question is, would you buy an A4 just for the quattro, or an A6 for the comfort and tech.
